BMW Motorrad has announced its highest-ever annual sales in India in 2021. Delivering more than 5000 motorcycles in the country, the company achieved growth of over 100 percent this year as compared to the last year. This massive surge in sales was driven by ‘Made in India’ G 310 R and G 310 GS bikes which commanded a share of nearly 90 percent of the yearly sales. In addition, BMW C 400 GT, R 1250 GS / GSA, The BMW R18 Classic, the BMW S 1000 R and the BMW M 1000 RR also managed decent numbers this year in the Indian market.
BMW Motorrad India launched a plethora of new products in the country in 2021 in the form of the all-new BMW C 400 GT, the BMW R 1250 GS and BMW R 1250 GS Adventure, the BMW R nine T and BMW R nine T Scrambler, the BMW S 1000 R, the all-new BMW M 1000 RR and BMW R 18 Classic. Furthermore, the finance arm of the company - BMW Financial Services India - also played a crucial role in the rising sales. The customized and flexible financial solutions offered by BMW Financial Services India were favorites among the buyers. The company's top selling models - G 310 R and G 310 GS - are powered by the same 312.2cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine that we have seen in TVS Apache RR 310.
