Benelli recently introduced a low EMI scheme for its retro-classic motorcycle, Imperiale 400, in the Indian market. The company did this to boost the sales numbers during the upcoming festive season. It aims to make ownership a lot more convenient for the customers especially during this tough time when a lot of people are facing financial issues. The brand is offering an EMI scheme of Rs 4999 on monthly basis. Under this scheme, interested customers can easily get funding of up to 85 percent of the bike’s cost. This scheme can be availed easily at all Benelli India dealerships.

The BS6 Benelli Imperiale 400 is available at Rs 1.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Interested customers can get the bike booked at a token amount of Rs 6000. Also, it comes with a 3-year unlimited km warranty along with additional service benefits. The bike rivals the likes of Royal Enfield Classic 350, Royal Enfield Bullet 350, Jawa Forty-two, and Jawa.

Cosmetically, the Benelli Imperiale 400 gets a design that is inspired by the Benelli MotoBi range that was in production in the 1950s. Design highlights such as a round-shaped headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and indicators give the bike a vintage look. Furthermore, the motorcycle is available in three color schemes namely silver, black, and red.

Mechanically, Imperiale 400 is powered by a 374cc, SOHC, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This engine churns out 21 bhp power at 6000 rpm and 29 Nm torque at 3500 rpm while being mated to a 5-speed gearbox and multidisc wet clutch. The motorcycle uses a double-cradle chassis. Suspension duties are taken care of by 41 mm telescopic forks upfront and pre-load adjustable at the rear. As for brakes, the motorcycle gets a 300 mm front disc and 200 mm rear disc along with dual-channel ABS.
