Bajaj Auto has discontinued the Pulsar N160 single-channel ABS version in India. Due to low demand for the Pulsar N160 single-channel ABS, the company has decided to put a full stop on the production of this variant in the Indian market. Now the Pulsar N160 will only be available in the dual-channel ABS version. The dual version is available at a price of INR 1.31 lakh (ex-showroom).
Customers mostly prefer to purchase the dual-ABS version of the Pulsar N160 because it is much safer than the single-channel ABS variant. Also,there was only a price difference of INR 5000 between the single channel ABS variant and the dual-channel ABS variant. Consumers would only have to pay an additional INR 5,000 to obtain the safer variant.

The dual-channel ABS variant comes with a better braking system, especially under panic braking. The Bajaj Pulsar N160 was the first motorcycle in this segment to get dual-channel ABS at the time of its official launch.
Bajaj Auto has not made any additional changes to the Pulsar N160; it continues to be powered by a 164.82-cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled motor that churns out 15.5 bhp at 8,750 rpm and a peak torque of 14.65 Nm at 6,750 rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The Pulsar N160 rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels. The motorcycle comes with front telescopic forks with 37 mm of travel and a monoshock at the rear with 31 mm of travel. There is a 300 mm disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the front and rear, respectively.
The Pulsar N160 comes in three color schemes: Racing Red, Caribbean Blue, and Brooklyn Black. Earlier, Bajaj only offered this motorcycle in the Brooklyn Black color scheme. The N1600 gives tough competition to the likes of the Yamaha FZ-S Fi V3.0, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Hero Xtreme 160R 4V, and Suzuki Gixxer 155.
