Skoda Auto is all set to unveil the updated Octavia on February 14, 2024. The automaker has revealed the first official sketches of the next-gen Octavia. The new design sketches reveal that the car will come equipped with modified daytime running lights that are extended downward on the new bumper. The Octavia will get blue interior decorations, a refreshed front grille, and new-generation matrix LED headlights. The brand has assured the buyers that the high-end RS and Sportline variants will still be available.

In the international markets, the Octavia facelift version will come in wagon and liftback sedan body styles, backed by several trim levels incorporating a Sportline grade. The automaker is gearing up to unveil the Sportline trim next week, and it will sit directly beneath the Octavia RS. The RS version gets a more aggressive front bumper, and the wheels have an "RS" emblem.

The Head of Design at Skoda Auto, Oliver Stefani, said that the latest design update includes redesigned bumpers and grille. The new Octavia gets a stunning sporty look as the automaker has tightened the lines of the headlamps.

Although the auto giant has not revealed any details regarding the powertrain options, the next-generation Octavia is anticipated to retain the previous engine options, such as the 2.0-liter turbo diesel, 1.5-liter turbo petrol, and mild-hybrid engines. As of now, the automaker has not announced the Indian launch of the new Octavia. However, Skoda is anticipated to introduce the Octavia RS iV to the Indian market. The RS model will come with plug-in hybrid technology in limited numbers. This sedan has so far acquired a sales milestone of 1 lakh units in India in the last 20 years.

Skoda unveiled the Octavia A4 as its first model in the Indian market back in 2001. In 2004, the auto giant rolled out the vRS model with a turbocharged petrol engine. Later, Skoda India launched the facelift variants of its cars under the Laura moniker. The automaker is currently developing an electric Octavia model, which is scheduled to debut later this decade. It will get an 89-kWh battery along with a WLTP-certified range of around 600km.
