KTM has revealed its highly anticipated model, the 2024 990 Duke, at EICMA 2023. KTM is one of the biggest auto manufacturers in the modern European automotive market. KTM made up its mind to step its foot in the middleweight naked bike section in 2017 with the 790 Duke, also called the Scalpel. KTM unveiled the 890 Duke R and 890 Duke in 2022. Now the company has come up with a new model, the KTM 990 Duke.

The 2024 KTM 990 Duke comes with cutting-edge technology and performance, and it will give tough competition to other litre-class naked bikes. In the lineup, it is better than the 2023 KTM 890 Duke GP. KTM AG will develop the new motorcycle at its main plant in Mattighofen, Austria. For now, the 2024 KTM 990 Duke will only be launched on the international market.

The 2024 KTM 990 Duke is powered by an LC8c engine. The LC8c is a 947cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine that churns out 121 of maximum power at 9,500 rpm and a peak torque of 103 newton-meters at 6,750 rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The riders can go for the quickshifter.

The KTM 990 has been manufactured around a new steel tube frame and swingarm. The new motorcycle rolls on 17-inch wheels inspired by the 1290 Super Duke R. The wheels are slightly altered to add the dual-sided swingarm, and as a standard, they are covered in Bridgestone S22 tires. The suspension hardware is composed of WP Apex components. The motorcycle is available with a few personalization options via the PowerWear and KTM PowerParts catalogs.

The new 990 Duke comes equipped with a tech feature specially designed to enhance its on-track and on-road performance. The new motorcycle comes with a lightweight chassis that is well-suited for both track and street. The 2024 KTM Duke has other features like a USB C-Type charger, a five-inch color TFT screen, and LED lighting. It is available in five riding modes: Sport, Rain, Performance, Track mode, and Street.
