Kawasaki India has launched the 2024 Z650RS retro-styled motorcycle in India. The new motorcycle now comes with a traction control system, and it is available at a price of INR 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The two-wheeler maker is offering the Z650RS with two traction modes. Apart from the addition of a traction control system, Kawasaki has not made any changes to the new bike.
In the Indian market, the 2024 Z650RS comes in a metallic matte carbon gray color. Whereas in the international market, the bike has other color options as well. The Kawasaki Traction Control System (KTRS) increases the model’s safety, particularly on wet or gravelly roads. Known for its retro-style theme, the Z650RS comes with an updated engine. At the front, it gets a round headlamp, a teardrop fuel tank, dual analog dials along with a digital readout in the centre, and a slim tail section.

In terms of style, the Z650RS takes inspiration from the outgoing Z900RS. It has a neo-retro design that includes a round LED headlamp, a single-piece seat, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and a dual-pod instrument console. The Kawasaki Z650RS comes equipped with semi-analog and digital clusters that provide vehicle-related information like gear positioning, RPM, speed, and mileage. The new Z650RS rolls on stylish 17-inch golden alloy wheels, providing an enhanced riding experience on multiple terrains.
The 2024 Kawasaki Z650RS is powered by the same 649 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that is also equipped in bikes like the Versys 650 and Ninja 650. The engine churns out maximum power of 67 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 64 Nm of peak torque at 6,700 rpm. It is mated to a six-speed unit gearbox with an assist and slip clutch. Suspension duties are done by telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the back, along with 125 mm of travel in the front and 130 mm of travel at the rear. For braking duties, it gets dual 272 discs in the front and a 186 mm disc at the rear. Kawasaki also launched the Eliminator 500 in India last month. It is priced at INR 5.62 lakh (ex-showroom). It is powered by a 51-cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 44 bhp of power at 9,000 rpm and a peak torque of 46 Nm at 6,000 rpm.
