Under the hood, Bajaj Auto has not made many changes to the new motorcycles. The Bajaj Pulsar N150 is powered by the same 149.68 cc, air-cooled engine that churns out 14.3 bhp of maximum power and 13.5 Nm of peak torque. The unit is mated to a five-speed gearbox. Powering the Bajaj Pulsar N160 is a 164.82-cc air-oil-cooled engine that is tuned to produce a maximum bhp of 15.8 and a peak torque output of 14.65 Nm. The engine utilizes a five-speed gearbox.

The motorcycles come equipped with an LCD instrument cluster that provides owners with fuel consumption data, mobile notification alerts, gear position indicators, distance to empty, and more. The updated bikes are now available with the Bajaj Ride Connect App, which will be utilized to connect motorcycles and mobile phones. The app will display on the instrument cluster incoming messages, calls, and phone battery information. The N150 and N160 feature a 'Mode' button integrated on the left switchgear that aids the rider in navigating the interface while riding. The rider can also reject or accept calls via the left switch cube button. Additionally, the usual odometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, and speedometer will be there.

The Pulsar N150 and N160 will give tough competition to the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer, Hero Xtreme 160R 4V, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, and Yamaha FZ-S Fi V4.
