The Volkswagen Group has officially revealed the Lamborghini Urus SE plug-in hybrid as an electric avatar of its best-selling model. The manufacturer will offer the new SUV in over 100 body color choices, new 23-inch wheels, and 47 interior themes. The SUV is packed with a set of 12.3-inch screens, and it comes with four new selectable modes: Performance, Hybrid, EV Drive, and Recharge.

According to Lamborghini, the new Urus SE can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 0.1 seconds faster than the Urus S. The new model can reach 100 kmph from a standstill in 3.4 seconds. The new Urus SE retains the same 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged petrol V8 engine that produces peak power of 189 bhp and maximum torque of 483 Nm. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission system. The petrol engine of the Urus SE churns out 612 hp of peak power and 800 Nm of torque, contributing to the system's outstanding power of 950.4 Nm at 1,750 rpm and 789 horsepower at 6,000 rpm.

The Urus SE hybrid SUV comes with a 25.7-kWh lithium-ion battery set located underneath the cargo floor. In EV mode, the car can accelerate to 130.3 km/h before switching to the V8 unit on its own. The company reported that the electrified Urus SE version offers 80 percent reduced emissions compared to its non-hybrid ICE counterpart. The automaker has given the hybrid SUV newly designed matrix LED headlamps along with LED running lights. The rear design of the Urus SE takes after the Gallardo, and it surges downforce by 35 percent compared to the Urus S.
