Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to launch the Mavrick X440 motorcycle on January 23, 2024. This flagship motorcycle will retain some of its underpinnings from the Harley-Davidson X440. The two-wheeler maker has shared a few teaser videos and sketch pictures of the upcoming motorcycle.

Hero has provided a glimpse of the motorcycle, revealing its front fascia, instrument cluster, and exhaust note. The instrument cluster equipped in the Mavrick X440 looks like an LCD unit that showcases a speedometer, gear-position indicator, fuel gauge, telltale lights, and tachometer. The automaker is also offering Bluetooth connectivity, which shows navigation and notifications.

The Mavrick X440 is likely to be powered by the 440-cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine that is also equipped in the Harley-Davidson X440. The engine churns out 27 bhp of maximum power and 38 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The company may retune the gearing and engine to suit the bike’s characteristics. The exhaust note revealed in the new teaser sounds very bassy. The motorcycle might also get a set of modern features like smartphone connectivity, a USB charging port, and turn-by-turn navigation.

Although the Mavrick X440 will share its underpinnings with the Harley-Davidson X440, it may miss out on a few things as it will be more affordable than the outgoing X440 model. The Mavrick X440 utilizes a pair of telescopic forks up front, while the Harley-Davidson model uses up-side-down forks. However, both bikes use dual shock absorbers. Braking duties will be done by a disc at the front and rear. The automaker will also offer twin-channel ABS. The alloy wheels will have a different design.

The new Hero Mavrick is likely to be priced at INR 2 lakh (ex-showroom). After its official launch, the new motorcycle will rival the likes of the Triumph Speed 400 and the Royal Enfield Classic 350.
