Mahindra & Mahindra has once again teased the upcoming XUV700 through a video on its social media channels. The teaser video gives a glimpse of the 'Auto Booster Headlamps' feature of the all-new SUV. Based on the W601 monocoque chassis, Mahindra XUV700 will be launched in October 2021 in the Indian market. The SUV will be locally manufactured at Mahindra's Chakan plant near Pune, Maharashtra. It will comes with several first-in-segment features while available in both petrol and diesel fuel trims with manual as well as automatic gearbox.


Going by the teaser video, the 'Auto Booster Headlamp' feature will be automatically activated at night times when the SUV crosses the 80kmph speed mark. It will switch on additional lights to give the driver better visibility. It has been learnt that Mahindra XUV700 will be offered in a total of 11 variants. Some of the notable features in the SUV will include Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Panoramic sunroof, all-digital instrument cluster, and a massive touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The ADAS will comprise of multiple advanced features in the form of autonomous emergency braking, parallel park assist, adaptive cruise control and forward-collision warning.

It is being believed that Mahindra will present the XUV700 in both 6-seat and 7-seat configurations. The diesel variants will have a more powerful version of the 2.2L mHawk engine at the helm with increased power output and torque performance. It will be paired with both manual and automatic gearboxes. The petrol variants will draw power from the 2.0L turbocharged engine. They will also be available with a choice of manual as well as automatic transmissions. The range-topping variants in both petrol and diesel fuel trims will get an all-wheel-drive system as optional. Mahindra XUV700 is termed as a successor to the company's current flagship vehicle, the XUV500.
