Mini India is all set to launch the Mini Cooper S and all-electric Mini Countryman in the Indian market on July 24, 2024. The brand has already opened pre-bookings for these models. Interested customers can reserve these cars by visiting their nearest authorized Mini dealerships. The Countryman and Cooper S were revealed in September 2023. Mini has also unveiled the all-electric Cooper SE, which is expected to be launched in India in the coming months.

Mini Cooper S

The new-gen Mini Cooper S features new design elements, including a new grille and revamped circular headlamps, followed by three customizable LED DRL signatures. The car retains the same silhouette, and at the rear, it gets updated Union Jack-themed taillights. Inside the cabin, the Cooper S comes equipped with a round 9.4-inch infotainment display, which serves as the instrument console. It features amenities like toggle switches, a gear selector, a start-stop switch, a parking brake, and ambient lighting.

Powering the Mini Cooper S is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that generates 201 bhp of power and a peak torque of 300 Nm. The new Cooper S receives a power bump of 25 horsepower and 20 Nm over the previous model. The car can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.6 seconds. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Mini Countryman Electric

Mini will introduce the forthcoming Countryman in an electric avatar. The all-electric version also gets fresh design elements. Inside the cabin, it features a new circular LED display and other new amenities. The electric SUV will draw power from an electric motor that is expected to generate horsepower of 201 bhp and a peak torque of 250 Nm. It rolls on aerodynamically designed alloy wheels, and the car’s overall appearance is increased by distinctive body cladding. The car can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 8.6 seconds. Notably, the automaker offers the robust Countryman SE ALL4 model in international markets, which produces a peak torque of 494 Nm.
