Maruti Suzuki unveiled the Vitara Brezza Facelift at the Auto Expo 2020. The new model comes with several cosmetic updates along with the inclusion of a new petrol engine. Here are a few key differences between the new and the older version.


Engine Specifications


Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Facelift comes with a plethora of updates to its exterior as well as the interior. It is powered by a new BS6 compliant 1.5-litre petrol engine whereas the current Vitara Brezza is powered by a BS 4 compliant DDiS 200 1.3L (1248 CC) diesel engine that outputs 90 bhp of power and 200 Nm of torque. The new powertrain is offered with a 5-speed manual and an optional 4-speed automatic transmission. The older version was available with a 5-speed manual gearbox.


Exterior Updates


The 2020 Vitara Brezza gets a new front grille flanked by LED projector headlamps with integrated LED DRLs. The older version had a grille at the front with a chrome outline.

The new version rides well on newly designed 16-inch dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels while the older version rode on differently designed alloy wheels and large tyres with black cladding flowing over the wheel arches and the bottom of the sides. The rear end of the new version comes with taillights that have been refurbished along with LED elements. In case of the older version Vitara Brezza, there is a chrome strip furbished at the centre of the tail at the rear end along with a neat cladding at the bottom thus giving it a bold look.


Interior Updates


The new version comes with multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and voice controls along with the cruise control switch while the steering wheel in the older version is sporty in design with buttons at the corner. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza new SUV comprises of 7-inch SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The older version comes with the centre console comes that had a small display screen, housing the Smartplay infotainment system


Safety features


The new SUV comes with advanced safety features. These include dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, driver and co-driver seat belt reminder and rear parking assist. The older version boasts of airbags for the front seat occupants, seatbelts with pre-tensioners and force limiters, reverse parking sensors, and a demister.


Colour Option


The new SUV comes with three fresh dual-tone body colour options - Sizzling Red with Midnight Black roof, Torque Blue with Midnight Black roof and Granite Grey with Autumn Orange roof. The older SUV comes in 9 different body colour options- Premium Silver, Granite Grey, Blazing Red, Fiery Yellow, Blazing Red/Midnight Black Roof, Fiery Yellow/Pearl Arctic White Roof, Autumn Orange, Autumn Orange/Pearl Arctic White Roof, Pearl Arctic White.
