Isuzu announced that the company will introduce the BSVI compliant variants of like Isuzu D-Max V-Cross ,MU-X SUV in the first half of the year 2020.

Isuzu announced that the company will introduce the BSVI compliant variants of like Isuzu D-Max V-Cross ,MU-X SUV in the first half of the year 2020.

It also revealed that company will be closing the production of its BS4 compliant vehicles by the end of December 2019.

However the new BSVI range will see a substantial price hike which would depend upon the model. The vehicles can receive a price hike up to Rs. 4 Lacs over the current asking price. For instance, range-topping Isuzu D-Max V-Cross,  MU-X SUV will get the maximum hike between Rs. 3 Lacs to 4 Lacs.

While prices of its commercial vehicle range including the D-Max Regular cab and the D-Max S-Cab are speculated to receive a price hike by Rs. 1 Lac to Rs. 1.5 Lacs.

On the increase of price hike, Capt. Shankar Srinivas who is the spokesperson of Isuzu Motors India said, "There is an air of uncertainty prevailing amongst vehicle buyers in the country. As per the government announcement, BS4 vehicles purchased on or before March 31, 2020, will continue to run even after implementation of BS6 norms coming in force from April 2020. Isuzu would like to notify its new and existing customers about the price hike next year and urge its customers to make appropriate vehicle purchase decisions whilst availing scheme benefits that come with the range of Isuzu utility vehicles."

The price hike is bound to happen as the BSVI upgrade include change in the engines and other mechanical changes.

The diesel variant will see an addition of blue tank that has urea meant to reduce the emission further to meet the emission norms.

For the ones looking to buy Isuzu cars should buy before the carmaker makes transition to BSVI cars next year before the slated deadline of March 31, 2020.
