Hero MotoCorp has unveiled the new 2020 Xtreme 160R at an event held in Jaipur. It will fill in the shoes of recently phased out Xtreme Sports while launching next month, i.e. March 2020. In addition, Dr. Pawan Munjal, Chairman & MD, Hero MotoCorp also unveiled the new Passion Pro and Glamour 125 which will also be launched in the country soon. The company also announced an investment of Rs 10,000 Crores for future mobility and global expansion of business.

Speaking of the 2020 Hero Xtreme 160R, it flaunts sharp styling with a muscular fuel tank. The rear looks appealing in an upswept and sporty avatar. All the lighting elements like headlamp, indicators and taillamp boast of a LED unit. The new motorcycle also gets an all-digital instrument cluster. It has been presented in two variants on the basis of braking duties. The suspension duties are helmed by Shows sourced 37mm telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Hero Xtreme 160R will take on the likes of Suzuki Gixxer, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Yamaha FZ V3.0 in the Indian market.

Mechanically, 2020 Hero Xtreme 160R is powered by a BS 6 compliant 160cc air-cooled engine which develops top power of 15bhp at 8500rpm and peak torque of 14Nm at 6500rpm. It is touted as the fastest bike in the segment while the disc brake variant gets petal discs and wide tyres than before. The motorcycle will be available in three exterior colors: Red, White & Blue. The bookings for the motorcycle is expected to start by next week while first deliveries will start from April 2020. The company has planned to become carbon neutral by the next decade (2030).
