The much-talked about slowdown in auto sector in the country has forced the companies to offer discounts on their models in the market. However, some really slow selling models as well as pre-facelift models are also being sold with great discounts in the market. Therefore, let’s take a look as the models that being sold with discounts greater than or equal to Rs. 1 lakh in the Indian market.
Skoda Rapid -- Total discounts up to Rs. 1.23 lakhs. Discounts include: Cash discount up to Rs. 1 lakh on offer. Company also offering its maintenance package at a reduced price of only Rs. 9,999, thereby offering a discount of Rs. 23,334 on the package. This discount is available only on 2018 make year models. In the newer stock, Ambition MT Diesel, Ambition AT Petrol, and Style MT Petrol trims are up for grabs at just Rs. 9.99 lakhs due to the loyalty bonus worth Rs. 25,000 on offer on trims. The other variants are available with cash discount up to Rs. 50,000 and a loyalty bonus worth Rs. 25,000.
Toyota Yaris – Total discounts upto Rs. 1.44 lakh. Discounts include: Various schemes clubbed together to offer discounts upto Rs. 1.44 lakhs for customers. Discounts valid only as per the stock and same discounts valid only on 2018 make year models of sedan.
Renault Duster – Total discounts upto Rs. 1 lakhs. Discounts include: Cashback of Rs. 50,000 and exchange bonus of Rs. 50,000 on diesel models. Rs. 30,000 – Rs. 50,000 cash discount available on petrol model but that may vary from dealer to dealer. Discount only available on pre-facelift model of Renault Duster.
Honda BR-V – Total discounts worth nearly Rs. 1 lakh. Discounts include: Exchange bonus of Rs. 50,000 along with genuine Honda accessories worth Rs. 26,500 free with purchase of every car. Cash discount of Rs. 33,500 also available. For non-exchange customers, accessories worth Rs. 36,500 and cash discount worth Rs. 33,500 available.
Hyundai Elantra – Total discounts upto Rs. 2 lakh. Discounts include: Large cash discount of Rs. 1.25 lakhs on offer on sedan. Apart from cash discount, exchange bonus of Rs. 75,000 also available with company's priciest sedan in India.
Skoda Octavia -- Total discounts up to Rs. 1 lakh. Discounts include: Rs. 50,000 in form of cash discount. Another Rs. 50,000 also being offered in form of loyalty bonus for the sedan. A thing to be noted here is that cash discount scheme is applicable only on the use of some credit cards.
Hyundai Tucson – Total discounts upto Rs. 1 lakh. Discounts include: Rs. 1 lakh discount inclusive of cash discount of Rs. 25,000 and exchange bonus woth Rs. 75,000 on the car.
Honda CR-V – Total discounts upto Rs. 2.5 lakh. Discounts include: Entire amount available as cash discount for the latest SUV from the brand.
Skoda Superb -- Total discounts up to Rs. 1.75 lakh. Discounts include: Direct cash discount of Rs. 1.75 lakhs available on Superb. However, this cash discount has been limited to only 2018 make year models. On the 2019 models, the cash discount comes down to Rs. 50,000 and with that comes a loyalty bonus of Rs. 50,000. Apart from this, the models also come with an assured buyback scheme wherein the brand will buyback the car from the customer at 57% of price post 3 years of ownership. Here too, the cash discount scheme is applicable only on the use of some credit cards.
Skoda Kodiaq -- Total discounts up to Rs. 1 lakh. Discounts include: Company offering loyalty bonus worth Rs. 50,000 and cash benefits worth Rs. 50,000 with the SUV. Here too, the cash discount scheme is applicable only on the use of some credit cards.
