Husqvarna Motorcycles has unveiled the all-electric E-Pilen Concept which is expected to enter production in 2022. The styling has been inspired by the pioneering design of the Vitpilen and Svartpilen models. It is being learnt that Husqvarna E-Pilen Concept would be manufactured at Bajaj's Chakan facility in Pune while it goes on sale by end of 2022. The all-electric bike will be sold through the existing Husqvarna dealerships in the country while the price is expected to be higher than the ongoing Vitpilen and Svartpilen 250 models on sale.

As for styling, it is quite evident that the E-Pilen Concept will use the elements as the Vitpilen and Svartpilen 250. It will boast of a single front disc brake and 43mm USD fork as front suspension. The Concept flaunts a round LED headlamp upfront while the rear profile is expected to get swingarm mounted turn indicators. The thick rear tyre reminds of the Vitpilen and Svartpilen 250. Underpinning a trellis frame chassis with a side-slung monoshock, Husqvarna E-Pilen will also have a new curved swingarm. The company will equip it with a modular and swappable battery system allowing the power pack to be exchanged. The company has also planned to strategically expand its dealer presence in urban and metropolitan areas.

Though, information is scarce regarding the battery pack of Husqvarna E-Pilen Concept but it has been divulged by the company that it will have a maximum power output of 10.7bhp. The riding range on full charge will be 100 kms. A report from Pierer Mobility, which is the parent company of KTM and Husqvarna, in September 2020 stated that the production-spec bike will be offered with a couple of electric motor choices. There will be two electric motors which will develop top power outputs of 5.4bhp and 13.5bhp. However, it seems unlikely now as Husqvarna has already revealed the power output of the electric motor. It will be at loggerheads with the likes of Revolt RV400 and SVM Prana Electric Bike in India.
