Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd. has launched the 2021 Africa Twin Adventure Sports at an introductory price of Rs 15.96 Lakhs (ex-showroom, pan India) in the country. Being available in new color options in both DCT and manual transmission variants, it can be booked at the company's premium BigWing Topline dealerships. The manual variant can be availed in Darkness Black Metallic color while the Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) variant is offered in Pearl Glare White Tricolor. The 2021 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports will directly rival the Triumph Tiger 900 in India.

The 2021 Africa Twin comes with dual LED headlights with daytime running lights (DRLs) and cornering lights while riding on tubeless tyres. It also gets a slim-section adjustable seat, 5-stage adjustable windscreen, heated grips and high-set handlebars as standard. As for features, the 2021 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports boasts of ACC charging sockets, Cruise Control and Fully coloured Multi Information Display (MID) 6.5-inch TFT touch screen display with Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth connectivity. The bike has a fuel tank of 24.5 litres while a full range of genuine Honda accessories such as top box, rear carrier, rally step, DCT pedal shifter, fog lamp, fog lamp ATT, visor and side pipe are on offer

The 2021 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports features integrated six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that controls Throttle by Wire (TBW) and expanded 7 level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). In addition, the IMU also controls Wheelie Control, Cornering ABS with off-road setting, Rear Lift Control and Cornering Detection feature in the DCT variant. Powered by a 1,084cc parallel twin engine, it has a maximum power output of 98bhp and peak torque performance of 103Nm. There is a Lithium Ion battery which offers 1.6 times longer shelf life and 4 times longer durability in comparison to conventional batteries. It also features a bolt-on aluminium subframe and swing arm (a technology inspired from the “Dakar” machine CRF450R moto-crosser).
